Warranty Terms and Conditions for Würth Zebra and Red Line Hand Tools
In accordance with the following terms and conditions, Würth Zebra and Red Line hand tools are covered by a lifetime factory fault warranty. This warranty is only applicable to the person/business that originally purchased the product directly from Würth Namibia and is valid from the date of purchase granted that an invoice for the product in question is provided. Würth commit, with certain exceptions, to exchange or repair any product which, upon examination by Würth, is deemed to have flaws or defects in either the manufacturing process and/or input components/materials.
Both Zebra and Red Line ratchets will not be covered by the warranty. If a ratchet has a factory fault upon receiving the ratchet, the purchaser must contact Würth Namibia within 7 days of receiving the ratchet. If the purchaser contacts Würth Namibia after a period of 7 days of receiving the ratchet, the warranty will be rendered null and void.
This warranty will only cover Zebra or Red Line branded hand tools that were bought after the 1st of January 2017.
This Warranty will not apply if:
Damages arise from product abuse, misuse, improper application, accidental damage, lack of maintenance, general wear and tear or any repair attempted by someone other than an official Würth approved repairer.
The product has not been used or maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions as provided with the product.
The product is used in an application where it is not fit for purpose. This includes, but is not limited to observance of correct tensile strength ratings, suitable DIN/ISO standards, metric/imperial specifications, recommended tightening torques, or appropriate chemical product use.
The product has been stored incorrectly. This includes, but is not limited to exposure to high or low temperatures, incorrect UV or other light, or excessive moisture as per the manufacturers’ recommendations or stipulations of the Safety Data Sheet (where applicable).
All recommended preparation and/or treatment processes have not been carried out as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
The product or packaging has been modified in such a way that renders any prior specification, rating or classification void. This includes, but is not limited to Dangerous Goods, Flammability ratings or Safe Transport classifications.
All other hand tools supplied by Wurth, not forming part of the Zebra and/or Red Line range of tools will carry a 12 months warranty against manufacturing faults/defects. Any, and all abuse will not be covered under this warranty.
To claim this Warranty:
Any warranty claim is to be submitted in writing and accompanied by relevant invoice/s or proof of purchase. Please note the return of the product to a Würth Customer Service Consultant is mandatory for all warranty claims.
Torque Wrench Warranty
Warranty Terms and Conditions for Würth Torque Wrenches
This warranty sheet has been put in place to ensure that there is a clear understanding of the warranty conditions pertaining to the Wurth branded torque wrenches.
For us to validate a warranty claim…
Every torque wrench carries a 12 months warranty against manufacturing defects/faults.
During this time should the torque wrench need to be repaired due to a manufacturing fault, we will cover the repair as well as the re-calibration (any torque wrench that has been repaired whether it be a minor or major repair, by law requires a re-calibration).
If during the 12 monthns period the torque wrench comes in for repair and we feel it has been abused, it will be sent away for an independent assessment.
Should it be found that the tool has been abused, all costs for the repair work, calibration and delivery costs involved, will be for the customers expense. Should it be found that abuse of a tool has occurred the warranty will be voided.
Warranty on repaired Torque Wrenches
Repair work carried out any torque wrench which is older than 12 months (from date of invoice) whether “used” or “un-used” will be for the cost of the customer. The repair cost will cover calibration, repair and delivery costs to and from the customer.
All repair work on torque wrench’s older than 12 months will carry a 3 months warranty from the supplier, which covers only for the specific work done on the tool.

For us to validate a warranty claim…
All Master Power Tools are covered by a 1-year warranty, that covers against manufacturing faults/defects.
Units with burnt out armatures/field coils will be treated as abused and will not be covered under warranties.
Should the out of warranty repair cost be too high, we will offer a 20% Trade-In discount on a replacement machine.
The decision as to whether a machine has been abused lies at the discretion of our Master Repair Workshop.
Chargeable repairs are subject to an hourly labour rate
The said rate, can be obtained from your Customer Service Consultant at the time of repair.
All repairs will be quoted on prior to any repair work being done, once the quote has been accepted (by the customer) only then, will the repair be carried out. All repairs are covered for 3 months, this warranty period will only pertain to the area of repair and replacement parts required for that specific repair.

Wurth Pneumatic (Air) Tools Warranty

All Pneumatic Tools are covered by a 1-year warranty, that covers against manufacturing faults/defects.
For us to validate a warranty claim…
It is imperative that the following is in place prior to the initial/first use of the machine/s:
A pressure regulator is in place, so as to ensure that the optimum pressure for running a/the particular pneumatic tool is maintained, this optimum pressure is generally 6.3bar, or unless specified in the instruction manual for the specific tool, or this information can also be obtained directly from Wurth Namibia.
An oiler is installed, so as to ensure adequate lubrication on a daily basis – excessive oiling can also lead to failures, in the case of under-oiling or over-oiling of a machine both will be regarded as abuse.
A water trap is put in place, so as to ensure that any water condensation, that may occur from the compressor, is restricted from reaching the specific pneumatic tool.
Should it be deemed/suspected that abuse has taken place, an independent assessment will be obtained, and the warranty of the specific tool will be voided, irrespective of the age of the tool.
